DVD
Moving Forward is proud to be able to release the long awaited DVD ‘One Step at a Time’ that provides an inspirational insight into amputation and the rehabilitation process that follows. Filmed at Queen Alexandra and St Mary’s Hospitals and involving users and professional staff, it provides valuable information for individuals (and their family and friends) who are facing amputation or who have just had an amputation.
The film is divided into four parts:
- The amputation and the first few days in hospital
- Early rehabilitation whilst in hospital and getting home
- Introducing the Disablement Services Centre and the start of the rehabilitation process with an artificial limb
- The rehabilitation process for artificial limbs
The film complements the leaflets that were published in 2009.
The DVD was produced by ScreenThings and was funded through the generous support of Grassroots Grants through the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation.
