Orthotics
The Orthotics Department, based at the DSC, St Mary's Hospital, meets the Orthotic
needs of the Trust. The department consists of an Orthotic Services Manager,
Nicola Neve, a Senior Orthtoist, Lorna Tobey, and two Orthotists - Francois-Xavier
Grandjean and Euan Wilson, as well as an in house orthotic technician, Christopher
Scott. The department also runs the service at Queen Alexandra, Gosport War
Memorial and Petersfield Hospitals, as well as many multidisciplinary and special
schools clinics in the area.
Multi disciplinary clinics have been developed over the last few years, in conjunction with the Paediatric Physiotherapy and Podiatry departments. There are also two monthly clinics held in conjunction with the Diabetic and Adult Podiatry department. All of these clinics have enabled the department to provide patients with an improved service and a multidisciplinary team approach to their Orthotic treatment. The department also has a manufacturing unit which makes a range of bespoke Orthotic devices.
